MPC – 54 in. Slitting Line Upgrade Press Release

Metal Processing Corporation (MPC) has upgraded our 54″ slitting line with a new uncoiler and recoiler from Nova Machinery and Engineering. This upgrade will increase the machines maximum thickness capacity from .160 to .250. In addition, in the 3rd quarter the lines entry system will be widened to 60″. “This added thickness range increases the capabilities we can offer our customers on hot rolled and pickled and oiled slitting” said Keith Medick President and COO. “With the addition our 3/16″x 72″ wide cut to length line in May of this year and our upgraded slitting capacity we have significantly widened the scope of processing we can offer to our customers.”

MPC now offers carbon steel slitting in thicknesses from .015″ to .250″ in master coil widths from 36″ to 72″ for cold rolled, coated and hot rolled products and cut to length in the same products from .020 to .1875 thick and up to 72″ wide. In addition, MPC offers its clients a 300,000 sq. ft. climate controlled warehouse for safe material storage as well as our own fleet of trucks to pick up or transport our customer’s material wherever they need it delivered.
